Balwinder Sandhu is an erstwhile Indian cricketer who represented India in Tests and ODIs. He was a right-arm medium pace bowler and a right handed batsman who played 8 Tests and 22 ODIs for India. He was born in 1956 in Bombay, Maharashtra. He made his first class debut for Bombay in the 1980-81 seasons against Gujarat claiming nine wickets. He also performed well in the Duleep trophy and Irani trophy which led to his inclusion in the national side. He played an important role in India’s triumph at the 1983 World Cup.
