Daisy Bopanna was born on December 4, 1982 in Coorg, Karnataka, India. She attended Chitrakala Parishat in Bangalore and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She started her career working with B. Jayasri’s Spandana theatre camp. In 2003, she made her screen debut with the Tamil movie Indru Mudhal. The following year, she made her first Kannada film appearance with Bimba and made her Telugu debut with Chanti.
She gained further fame in 2008 for her portrayal of Sowmya in the Kannada film Gaalipata, for which she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Other movies include Chakkara Viyugam and Khuda Kasam.
