Hema Malini is an The Indian actress, producer, dancer, director, and politician. She was born on 16 October 1948 in Ammankudi, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the daughter of V.S. Ramanujam Chakravarthy and Jaya Chakravarthy. She is the most suss ccf ul film star in the history of India. She is known as the dream girl of Bollywood. Hema Malini was enrolled in the Chennai-based Andhra Mahila Sabha. Malini studied at DTEA Mandir Marg and in 12th Standard left to begin her acting career. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. She worked in more than 150 films.

Hema performed in the song Singara Therukku Selai sung as a supporting actor from the 1963 Tamil film Idhu Sathiyam. She first appeared in 1968 film Sapno Ka Saudagar as a lead actress. Some hit films are Sholay, Satte Pe Satta, Tum Haseen Main Jawan, Naya Zamana, Raja Jani and Seeta Aur Geeta. After taking a break from films for a number of years, Hema made a comeback with Baghban. Before their marriage, they both converted to Islam.The reason of this matter was that Dharmendra was already married to Prakash Kaur. She refused to divorce him.
