Javagal Srinath is a former Indian cricketer regarded as one of the finest fast bowlers of India. He spearheaded the Indian fast bowling attack after the retirement of legendary Kapil Dev. He was born in 1969 in Mysuru district, Karnataka. At present, he is an ICC Match Referee. He was a recipient of Arjuna Award. He made his first class cricket debut in 1989/90 for Karnataka. He retired from international cricket after the 2003 World Cup.
